  • ÂÒÂ×Ðã was the first university institution to be established in London.
  • Our first building was bought in 1826Ìýfor £100 byÌýJeremy Bentham, ÂÒÂ×Ðã's founder.Ìý
  • Our original campus is in Bloomsbury, central London although we have buildings acrossÌýthe United Kingdom.Ìý
  • ÂÒÂ×Ðã opened the ÂÒÂ×Ðã East campusÌýinÌýQueen Elizabeth Olympic ParkÌýinÌýStratford, East London. Our second campus since our founding in 1826.Ìý
  • ÂÒÂ×Ðã sustained considerable bomb damage during the Second World War, including to the Great Hall and the Carey Foster Physics Laboratory.Ìý

ÂÒÂ×Ðã EastÌý

ÂÒÂ×Ðã East represents the largest ever single expansion of ÂÒÂ×Ðã since the University was founded nearly 200 years ago. A new campus located on the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park, to the south of the Aquatics Centre and the ArcelorMittal Orbit. One Pool Street and Marshgate are openÌýand will be the core of the new campus as it continues to expand over the next decade.
