ÂÒÂ×Ðã Cancer Institute Taster Day

An interactive in person experience for Year 12 students to hear from ÂÒÂ×Ðã researchers, scientists, and medical professionals and take part in practical sessions on the cutting edge work that we do.Ìý

Participants in a lab with a member of staff during the Cancer Institute Taster Day 2023.

The ÂÒÂ×Ðã Cancer Institute is the hub for cancer research at ÂÒÂ×Ðã, which has brought together a diverse mix of over 400 scientists and clinicians to improve our understanding of cancer and how we can find new treatments to provide excellent patient care. In 2024, we are excited to invite you to attend our second Taster Day at the Institute!

This interactive day will allow you to hear from student researchers, scientists, and medical professionals on their career journey that has led to the research they do. You will get the opportunity to see demonstrations and take part in practical sessions, all led by our scientists, based on the cutting-edge work we do here. This day has been designed to give you a real insight into cancer research, and to show you that it is possible for anyone to become a cancer researcher.
