Planning your day

We know that many of you may be travelling a long distance to come to our Open Days. We want to help you make the most of your time with us.

Arrival information

We encourage you to plan your journey to ÂÒÂ×Ðã and allow plenty of time to travel. Use the maps for guidance and to familiarize yourself with key locations on campus.Ìý

Parking and travel

We strongly recommend that you use public transport to get to us. Both ÂÒÂ×Ðã campusesÌýareÌýwithin walking distance from several underground stations. You can find more details to help you plan your journey on the Travelling to ÂÒÂ×ÐãÌýand the ÂÒÂ×Ðã East Find us page.Ìý

There are no parking facilities on either of our campuses. Parking in the wider area is not free and it's limited. Please check your route forÌýLondon’s CongestionÌýand Ultra Low Emission Zone Charges.Ìý

Planning your day

  • Download the ÂÒÂ×Ðã Go app to access all the information you'll need.Ìý
  • Your plan for the day and the key questions you want to ask. There will be plenty of students and staff available to answer them.
  • An umbrella and sun cream. You can never be sure which one you will need with the English weather.ÌýÌý
  • A water bottle - there are several water fountains located on both campuses.
  • Comfortable shoes - you will be doing lots of walking! Ìý

What to expect during an Open Day

Our sessions operate on a first-come, first-served, walk-in basis.Ìý

You can attend an Information or Taster Session

Information or Taster sessions can help you decide if a programme is right for you.

We recommend approaching sessions with an open mind.ÌýYou can also attend sessions about subjects which you haven't considered before. You might discover a whole new path opens up to you when you keep your options open by exploring all that’s on offer.

You can join one of the other sessions on offer

Some departments will also be running Drop-in Sessions, Departmental Tours or Workshops. This is another great way to learn about the area of study you are curious about.

You can speak to staff and students at the Faculty Fair

The Faculty Fair will be open all day and is a great opportunity for you to speak to staff and students. You can ask questions about a programme, entry requirements or what it is like to study that subject at ÂÒÂ×Ðã.

You can get a feel for the ÂÒÂ×Ðã campus with a tour

You are welcome to look around the campus at your own leisure but you may like to take one of our campus tours. We run various campus tours throughout the day. During the Campus tours, our Student Ambassadors will show you some of the key landmarks of ÂÒÂ×Ðã.

You can speak to our Accommodation Team and take a tour of a student residence

We will have a variety of ÂÒÂ×Ðã Halls of Residence open for you to visit as part of the Open Day.

The Halls of ResidenceÌýare within walking distance of the campus. The halls reflect the variety of accommodation options open to our students.

At the Student Support Services Fair, the Accommodation Team will answer your questions.

Attend our Support Services Fair. You can learn about our services and support to our students during their studies and beyond.

Staff from the following teams will be available to answer your questions:

All services except for the Study Abroad team will be available at both campuses.Ìý

Make sure you speak to our Students’ Union representatives. You can find out about the amazing opportunities available beyond the classroom. With over 300 clubs and societies there is something for everyone!

You can visit our libraries

We have multiple libraries at ÂÒÂ×Ðã. During the Open Days, the Main Library, IOE Library, ÂÒÂ×Ðã East Library, Science Library and our Student Centre will be open for self-guided tours. The Student Centre will also be open. To enter you will need to show your Open Day wristband.

Make sure you grab a bite to eat!

We are sure you will have a packed schedule but make sure you make some time to grab a bite to eat. There are a variety of on campus with a wide choice of options. Full details of food options on campus will be available in the ÂÒÂ×Ðã App. Of course, there is also a wealth of places to eat in the wider area.Ìý
