Undergraduate Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for undergraduate courses at ÂÒÂ×Ðã are ABB at A-Level or 36 points for the International Baccalaureate (IB). However, entry requirements for many courses may differ and may also be higher.?

Please note: Successful completion of two years of the Bachelor's Degree at a Chinese university recognised by ÂÒÂ×Ðã, with a weighted average mark of 90%, will also be considered as an alternative to A-Levels or the IB.?

Graduate Entry Requirements

Entry to Master¡¯s courses at ÂÒÂ×Ðã requires a strong undergraduate degree. Please note entry to some doctoral programmes (e.g. MPhil/PhD) will also require a Master's degree. The entry requirements for individual courses can be found on our graduate prospectus. The equivalent qualifications from China can be found below.

Minimum entry requirements (2024/25?entry)

A four-year bachelor¡¯s degree from a recognised Chinese higher education institution will be considered. The required grade will vary depending on the awarding university.

ÂÒÂ×Ðã Admissions use a list of Chinese Universities reviewed by the relevant committee of the university and include a selection of Project 211, Project 985, and Double First-Class universities. Please note that not all universities from these projects are included.

Applicants from the list of universities below need to meet the following entry requirements:

  • Upper second-class (2:1): Bachelor's degree with a minimum weighted average mark of 85%
  • Lower second-class (2:2): Bachelor's degree with a minimum weighted average mark of 80%

** If your Bachelor¡¯s degree is in Computer Science and Technology only, then the following entry requirements apply:

Upper second-class (2:1): Bachelor's degree with a minimum weighted average mark of 85%. (Please note that not all programmes consider Computer Science as an appropriate first-degree subject). Lower second-class (2:2): Bachelor's degree with a minimum weighted average mark of 80%. (Please note that not all programmes consider Computer Science as an appropriate first-degree subject).

** If your degree is not in Computer Science and Technology, then you will need to meet the following entry requirements:

Applicants from all other universities recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education need to meet the following entry requirements:

  • Upper second-class (2:1): Bachelor's degree with a minimum weighted average mark of 90%.
  • Lower second-class (2:2): Bachelor's degree with a minimum weighted average mark of 85%.

London, and everything it offers, surrounds us and we actively encourage our students to make the most of everything this incredible city has to offer.
