Magnesium oxide might be liquid in super-Earths

"If you squeeze and heat hard and high enough, everything becomes metallic," says Professor Dario Alfè (ÂÒÂ×Ðã Earth Sciences). "The crucial point here is that magnesium oxide appears to become metallic at conditions not too far from those [at] the centre of terrestrial planets."
