Description

For students who have completed Ukrainian Level B or can demonstrate equivalent competence. This module aims to enable students to function in most everyday situations in the target language and to appreciate the complexity of the culture and society of the region. This includes sound knowledge of vocabulary (approximately 2200-2500 words), grammar, morphology (e.g. verbs in the present and past tense and various moods, verbal aspect, where relevant, noun cases, singular and plural forms, possessive constructions, derivation, etc.), syntax (word order in complex sentences), and phonetics (improving pronunciation and intonation). The module follows up and consolidates knowledge of the language gained on the Level B off-track module.
