Description

Ìý

The course will cover basic trade theories. It will introduce students to a basic analytical framework of international trade while providing examples of current events illuminating the theory. The course will cover the basic trade models and will also visit the forefront of theoretical and empirical research by explaining the gravity model, increasing returns, product differentiation, scale economies, and the role of firms in international trade. In addition, some aspects of trade policy will be discussed.
