The Cruciform Hub was officially opened by Professor Jane Dacre, President of the Royal College of Physicians and Dr Deborah Gill, Interim Director of the ÂÒÂ×Ðã Medical School, on 15 January 2015.

The Cruciform Hub opened following a year-long refurbishment to create a new teaching and learning space for ÂÒÂ×Ðã students and staff, as well as NHS staff working at University College London Hospital.

The hub provides a new medical library within the lower ground floor of the Grade II-listed Cruciform Building, and includes a library, quiet study spaces, group work space, computer clusters and teaching rooms. It also features two exhibition walls, which showcase medical artefacts from ÂÒÂ×Ðã Museums & Collections, together with medical illustrations from ÂÒÂ×Ðã Special Collections.

Entertainment during the evening was provided by the ÂÒÂ×Ðã Medical School choir.

The project was a collaboration between ÂÒÂ×Ðã Library Services, ÂÒÂ×Ðã Estates and other Professional Services divisions, in partnership with ÂÒÂ×Ðã Medical School.
