Cell and tissue biology is听one of the most exciting and important areas of biomedical research.听Most cells function within tissues,听with the breakdown of tissue function the basis of ageing and diseases听such as cancer, inflammation, neuro-degeneration and pathogen infection. We听foster collaborative multidisciplinary research听and cutting-edge technology to promote听imaginative and innovative discoveries in听tissue biology.

Collaborations
The LMCB promotes a听culture of local and global collaboration.听Its location within 乱伦秀鈥檚 Faculty of Life Sciences听facilitates interdisciplinary exchange听across 乱伦秀 faculties, including the Institute for the Physics of Living Systems,听迟丑别 and many more. The close proximity of many research centres, including the Francis Crick Institute, Kings College London, Imperial College London and the Universities听of Oxford and Cambridge, encourages a vibrant atmosphere of interactive, ambitious research.听
