ÂÒÂ×Ðã’s Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology (ICTM), a centre of excellence for clinical trials, meta-analysis and epidemiological studies, has launched a Statistics for Clinical Trials Apprenticeship.Ìý

The part-time programme aligns with the Level 7 . Fees for the MSc programme are covered via the government’s Apprenticeship Levy.

The apprenticeship is open to ÂÒÂ×Ðã staff working in a relevant role.ÌýApplicants must have a minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a related quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, genetics, computational biology). Clinicians and other allied health professionals are required to have a degree (for example, an MBBS) and evidence of having completed quantitative modules, as well as a keen interest in medical statistics.

This opportunity is open to staff who have successfully completed their probationary period and are on a contract that covers the length of the apprenticeship. It is essential that line-manager's approval and commitment is confirmed during the application process, as approximately 20% of the time will be spent on the online study component (off-the-job training).

Director of Education at ICTM, Dr Angela Meade; Programme Director, Dr Andy Embleton; and ÂÒÂ×Ðã Apprenticeship Manager, Ms Paula Sandamas, will be holding an online information session about the programme on 18 July at 11:00-12:00 London time.Ìý.

If you would like more information, but cannot attend the session, please email Dr Andy Embleton.
