Engineering Foundation Year

Are you a creative, thoughtful and hard-working person who wants to engineer a better world? We are looking for students capable of succeeding in engineering but who may have faced obstacles or disruption to their education and learning.

Engineers use science to create practical solutions to problems. Robotics, spacecraft, skyscrapers, artificial intelligence (AI), medical innovations and computer chips all fall within the engineering field. In fact, engineers can make a difference to almost any sector or situation - could that be you? We'll help you to gain new knowledge, learn academic and study skills, and develop your confidence levels so you'll have what it takes to transform your life.

Who can apply?

The Engineering Foundation Year at ÂÒÂ×Ðã is for people from groups underrepresented at ÂÒÂ×Ðã who aspire to become engineersÌýbut do not meet the standard entry requirements for ÂÒÂ×Ðã’s undergraduate engineering degrees.

To apply for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet a mixture of academic and non-academic eligibility criteria, and be deemed eligible by ÂÒÂ×Ðã Admissions for UK/home fee status.ÌýPlease review our prospectus to find out more, or contact us with any questions.
